Jane Tomaine is coming to St. Nicholas' Church in Midland

Rev. Dr. Jane Tomaine, an Episcopal Priest and well known lecturer will lead
a two-day retreat at St. Nicholas' Church September 24-25, and will be the
preacher at the 9:00 AM Eucharist on Sunday the 26th. The title of the retreat

Benedictine Values and Practices
for Today’s World. The Retreat
is open to anyone who would like to attend.
Dr. Tomaine is the author of St. Benedict’s Toolbox: The Nuts and Bolts of Everyday Benedictine Living (Morehouse, 2005). A nationally known retreat leader, Jane served as rector of a parish in New Jersey for 12 ½ years. She will be sharing her love of this spirituality with us and how wisdom from ancient practices speaks today with a living voice. There will be one session at St. Nicholas' Church on Friday, September 24th at 6:30 PM and two sessions on Saturday, September 26th; and she will be the preacher at the Sunday morning service at 9:00 AM. Her discussions will draw from her book, St. Benedict's Toolbox.
There is no charge for the retreat, although a contribution to the Saturday Lunch will be appreciated.

Originally scheduled for February, 2010, the Retreat had to be postponed when a blizzard in the Northeast prevented Dr. Tomaine from coming to Midland.
